BIOGRAPHY of ATTORNEY GREGORY SCHWENDEMAN
and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Gregory Schwendeman attended the University
of Pittsburgh, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration.
He later graduated from the University of Miami School of Law, in Coral Gables,
Florida. While attending UM Law full-time at night, he also worked full-time,
as a law clerk to a senior Judge on the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida.
Mr. Schwendeman is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida and
the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Additionally, he has been admitted into the
United States District Courts for the Middle District of Florida and the Western
District of Pennsylvania.
Gregory Schwendeman has been active in all stages
of the criminal process; from the initial investigation and the filing of initial
charges, straight through to verdict at trial. He has litigated crimes as diverse
as DUI, BUI, prostitution, possession of drugs and/or illegal substances, possession
of paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, trafficking, worthless checks, forgery,
unlicensed contractors, assault, battery, robbery, theft, burglaries, auto theft,
domestic violence, and first-degree murder.
Upon graduation from law school,
Gregory Schwendeman was employed as a prosecutor with the Office of the State
Attorney for Miami-Dade County, Florida - one of the busiest prosecutor's offices
in the country. Based on his achievements and work ethic, Gregory Schwendeman
was promoted to Division Chief for the Juvenile Division. His responsibilities
included supervising two courtroom divisions, training the prosecutors in those
courtrooms, and handling his own caseload. In addition, he was also very active
in the Juvenile Division of the Courts as the State Attorney's representative
in Drug Court.
After leaving the Office of the State Attorney in 2005,
Gregory Schwendeman relocated to Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida, where he
opened The Schwendeman Law Firm, whose aim is to provide aggressive, but professional,
legal representation to those accused of a crime. Since that time, a second office
was opened in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Unlike many lawyers, Attorney Schwendeman
has experience in the handling high-profile cases and has appeared on Access Hollywood,
MTV, Fox News, local network newscasts, and local and national publications. Gregory
Schwendeman has handled hundreds of cases, both as a prosecutor and as a defense
